Corners are important for me because it gives me a sense how something looks in a different space.
Light is a painting thing and there is a conception you do not need it for sculpture studios, but I think it is important for both really.
I work on the worst possible conditions really, for a sculptor, under strip lights. I need to put sky lights in, but normally I just open the doors of this shed to have natural light which has he right colour, but more importantly it has direction. You need that to create the right surface texture.
Having everything you're working on in your space is really important, so it can look quite messy. The way I pile my materials inspires me for my pieces.
